John Phillips Obituary, Death – At the age of 54, Johnathan Lloyd Phillips, a resident of Anderson, SC, peacefully passed away on December 19, 2023, at Rainey Hospice House. Born on July 25, 1969, in Anderson, he was the son of the late Lloyd Phillips and Susan Mennix Phillips. His maternal grandparents, John Mennix and Arrie “Libby” Mennix, also preceded him in death.

Johnny, as he was affectionately known, dedicated many years as a mechanical technician at Schmid Laboratories in Anderson. Beyond his professional pursuits, he showcased his talents as a skilled cabinet maker, demonstrating a passion for woodworking. His interests spanned various domains, including music, writing, and fishing. An enthusiastic supporter of the Clemson Tigers, Johnny found joy in riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Johnny’s warmth and love extended to his family, and he will be dearly missed by those fortunate enough to have known him. He is survived by his children, Jessie Phillips and Jared Phillips of Easley, SC, his ex-wife, Deanna Phillips of Easley, SC, and his siblings: Kristine “Sissy” Giffin (Brad) of Elizabeth City, NC, Sharon Kelly (Matt) of Belton, SC, and Graham Phillips (Brandi) of Tobaccoville, NC. Johnny also leaves behind seven nieces and two nephews. His legacy lives on through the memories of his kindness, talent, and the love he shared with his family and friends.
